Usually Neela and Roland wake up at least 30 minutes apart so I have a few minutes to change their diapers, get clothes changes, feed, and cuddle one before the other one wakes up. So the other morning when Roland was awake for only a few seconds before Neela was calling for me, I enlisted the help of Elliott.

He lit up at the opportunity to feed Roland. He did an amazing job.

I am so proud of him and how much affection he shows towards both Neela and Roland but specifically Roland. He is so gentle with him (most of the time) and wants to help any way he can. I am so grateful he is old enough to help. I think he is catching on enough and I am finally ready to let him help. This is going to be a good year. Full of growth, conversation, and tantrums. But mostly smiles and laughs. Well I can make goals anyway.

I remember when Ethan got big enough to help - mostly just fetching things - it seemed like everything got easier. Especially my Mom’s advice to “get a laugh every day.”
