Last Saturday, we dyed eggs with our friends, then did an egg hunt in the backyard. That was a lot of fun.

Elliott was more interested in finding anything that can be used to “Fight” with. Elliott is always in the holiday spirit. :-)

Neela on the other hand…. It took her about 3 eggs to realize how fun this game is, then we couldn’t stop her. ESPECIALLY when she realized these eggs were full of candy. She was shoveling it in as fast as she could. At one point, she had so much candy in her mouth that she couldn’t even chew! (And we all remember how large her mouth is.) And of course Roland slept soundly in his cradle through the whole thing.

Easter Sunday was great. We got up earlier than anyone, except Elliott, would prefer and went to church. Then we came home and the kids took long naps. Ethan and I relaxed and straightened the house. Then Meow and Buster came and fed us dinner! Which was very yummy. We had a roast and Veggies with dried cherries. All of us were left with an empty spot in our tummies. All wanting more. Then we remembered the cheesecake, orange angel food cake, and sugar cookies (all home made) That Meow brought to share. And thats when we all got food comma. We all sat on the sofas after stuffing ourselves with amazing desserts, and good conversation. Then right before bed Ethan reminded me that I had easter baskets prepared for the kids. We brought them out and here are some pictures of them with their prizes. (I am totally amazed I found it all at the Dollar Tree Store.)

Neela got a baby doll and “magic” bottle, as well as some light up jewelry. Elliott keeps trying to convince me that Neela told him it was ok for him to play with her new stuff. Yet he is unwilling to share his resses PB cups, stickers, OR his new sword.

Then bed time came and Ethan and I got to hang out totally child free and enjoy our time. It was a good day. Even though we had sugar headaches all night. Mmm….. Cheesecake…. Gotta go!
