This was Elliott in his Bouncer chair. For a a short time, the vibration on the chair was the only thing that kept Elliott asleep. And it kept him calm when he wasn’t asleep.
And this is Elliott and his chair now. “Surfing” he says as he uses it for a trampoline.

As for baby gear, there has been four staples in our house for the last three years. The bouncer chair is one, (with ocean scenery and sounds) and the Jumparoo is another.

Elliott really loved it, and would be excited when I asked him if he wanted to jump.

Neela used the bouncy chair too, but was a much bigger fan of the swing. (staple #3) Ethan gave the baby swing to me for my birthday, and Neela started sleeping 12 hours through the night. The only spot we had room for it was right under the window. Every night, I packed her into her snowsuit and put her to sleep in the swing.

When Neela hit about 3 months, we stuck her in the jumparoo too. While she was still inside me cooking, I refereed to her as our starfish baby. All spread out. As soon as she came out, she sprawled. And before we left the hospital, she was already keeping her legs so straight, we were holding her in standing position. I dont remember a time she was awake and not jumping. She would be slung over my shoulder for the usual burping session, and be springing constantly. I remember telling Ethan early on “the only way this girl will stop jumping, is if she is sleeping” So as soon as she was holding her head steady enough we stuck her in the jumparoo. It really paid off (seen here) I looked at getting one of these - dont look fun? But now, she just does laps around the house.

And last but not least, the Bumbo Chair. Neela got it from Nanna and Poppy last Christmas and we LOVED it. We mostly used it for feeding and bath time.
Roland on the other hand, didn’t really take to the swing, and has been just ok with the bouncy chair. What that boy really needs is to be Tacoed. (I just added that word to the dictionary) He loves to be wrapped up, snuggled, and sweaty. So, the only way he sleeps is tacoed in a pillow. Obviously not at all dangerous, just enough to simulate being held. Roland is quite possibly the snuggeliest baby I have ever held.

We have just introduced Roland to the Bumbo and he seems to dig it. As long as there is someone to flirt with, hes pretty content with anything.

We have also introduced him to the jumparoo and so far, he has no clue what to do in it. We tried to help him jump, but he just got stiff as a board.

And this picture is just cause its so cute. I love this picture.
So I hope you enjoyed our photo flashback. Feel free to leave any comments at the right. OR feel free to email us!

Great shots! Fun memories! I especially like the picture of Neela in her snowsuit. Think I might start sleeping like that.
