I think you are on the right track with dehydration and heat sickness. I believe that throwing up is one of the symptoms of heat sickness - maybe that is what Neela had too. You are smart to slow down and drink lots of water. And to make sure the kids drink lots too.

’ll let you in on a little secret. I’ve discovered the benefits of Promethazine.

Last Friday night, Neela woke up at mid-night and was throwing up till 9 am. On the hour nose, if not half hour. (we think it was food poisoning, cause at 9 she was just done, and eating her usual amounts and running around playing) While staying up with her that early morning, around 3am I started fighting the feeling to throw up too. I was very nauseas and my body was screaming for some relief. It lasted all day. At a few points, I was curled up in fetal position on the sofa just crying cause my stomach was cramping so bad. I finally broke down and took a promethazine pill left over from when I was sick with Roland back in ID. It knocked me out. I woke up feeling a little better, but still not great. Then Monday came, and I woke up thinking, this is gonna be a good day. I ate my usual banana and power bar before going to the gym. I did an expectable routine, but I was lacking. My body felt like I was pushin it, so I didnt go to the extreme. I took a shower there at the gym, went and got the kids, then headed home. Did some chores after putting the kids down, then sat at the computer to relax for a little bit. Right before the kids woke up, I started to feel it again. A little queasy. The feeling grew and grew till I wasn’t walking around the house, but crawling. The only time I was on my feet was when I was sure this would be the time I would FINALLY throw up. I just ended up crying on the bathroom floor. Again. I took two pregnancy tests this weekend cause this is EXACTLY how I felt with Neela. Yesterday I found myself saying out loud “I wont be convinced that I am not pregnant till I see an ultrasound.” So, after Ethan got home, I took another pill (seeing as they knock me out) and laid down to rest and was out for 12 hours! I woke up with 2 thoughts: #1″Wow, my body is stiff now” and #2 “I think I am sick because I am dehydrated, and exhausted” Makes sense right? Pushing myself hard at the gym, and not getting enough sleep, and the heat….oh, the heat. So for now I am going to keep taking it slow, nursing my 32 ounce cup of water and eating easy on the tummy things while trying to stay out of the heat. Lets hope today is better. Anyone else got any ideas of the cause or a cure??
